Ah, it’s from the new novel that came out exclusively with the Dead Apple theatrical release– shin soukoku is actually the main focus of this one but I Treasure the single brief scene with Chuuya sadhjhdwe you can read more about the novels here, and there’s a good summary with some translated parts here.

SO. looks like mafia boss dazai with chuuya as his right hand man is Real and Valid in the Shin Soukoku novel… (But At What Cost)

I gotta wonder what Chuuya’s reason for hating Dazai in this verse is– since it’s not like Dazai would have betrayed him by leaving the mafia in this scenario… 

A big thing I was thinking about, though, is if Dazai’s death would mean Chuuya becoming the new mafia boss…? Hierarchy-wise, it would probably make sense, if Chuuya is the second in command… hmm

also got to fucking wonder how chuuya would feel having to take over the mafia because dazai killed himself, and chances are chuuya probably didn’t really know the details at all, considering dazai couldn’t tell him the truth about the book… assuming i’m correct this means chuuya still pretty much got abandoned by dazai… pLEASE SAVE CHUUYA
